New securities law to come into force later this year

The date on which the new securities law will come into force is still not known.

The date will be set when the regulations applying to changes made by the Securities Legislation Bill, passed in October 2006, are settled.

As soon as a date is known for the new law to come into force the Securities Commission will publish it on this website.

The Commission is preparing a Guide to New Securities Law which will also be published when the regulations have been settled. A copy of the Guide can be requested by completing the order form on this website.
